Welcome to Wellington College International Tianjin
At Wellington we have combined tradition, excellence and innovation to produce an education for your children second to none.
Wellington College International Tianjin is the partner school of Wellington College in the UK, the highly prestigious independent school founded by Queen Victoria in 1859, as the national monument to one of the country’s greatest military leaders, the Duke of Wellington. For over 150 years, the College has been committed to providing the highest possible standards of education to young people. Wellington College in Tianjin celebrated its inauguration on 10th September, 2010, presided over by HRH Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, now the College's Visitor. Committed to becoming the leading international school in China, Wellington is a vibrant and popular co-educational school, where boys and girls are prepared to assume leading roles in adult life.
Wellington provides a unique learning opportunity due to the breadth and depth of the education offered, which goes beyond academic success into every sphere of extra-curricular and pastoral school life. Students will be inspired in all areas of the Eight Aptitudes model of education: linguistic and logical, social and personal, cultural and physical, moral and spiritual. The College is fully committed to this all-round education, and to the development in full of every student’s individual aptitudes and talents.
Centrally located on a newly purpose-built campus in the city of Tianjin, Wellington boasts impressive facilities, designed in the distinctive classical style of the College in the UK, including fully-equipped interactive classrooms, a library, a sports hall and range of outdoor pitches and courts, a swimming pool and a modern 500-seat theatre.
