Years 3 - 6 are known collectively as Key Stage 2 in accord with the English National Curriculum terminology.
At Wellington College the curriculum is carefully planned to ensure that it is relevant to the backgrounds and experiences of our international student body. The National Curriculum from England provides the basis for our formal curriculum at Key Stage 2, which is modified and extended to give a broad and balanced programme for all our students. Extra curricular activities extend the opportunities for students even further.
The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all students in each Year group. Work is suitably differentiated to ensure that it is appropriately delivered to students of all abilities. This is a strong feature of the National Curriculum. Good attitudes and approaches to learning are fostered, and relationships built among members of our whole community. Elements of the Learning for Life Programme at Eagle House School, England are also incorporated into the programme.
The curriculum builds on the skills and knowledge acquired in Key Stage 1, and adds further challenges as the children move through the Key Stage. Further emphasis is placed on problem solving and creative thinking in order that students become more independent in their learning.
Aspects of the curriculum are explained to parents at meetings held at the beginning of each academic year. Also, throughout the year, Curriculum evenings and open days for parents are held to explain different areas of the curriculum in greater depth.
Further details may be found in the Curriculum Summaries for each Year group.

We extend an invitation for parents interested in enrolling their children at Wellington College to visit us and take a tour of the dedicated Year 3 - 6 classrooms, located on the ground floor of the main building. Key Stage 2 classrooms have close access to the very latest technology in the Junior ICT suite, as well as a dedicated art and music studios, guided reading room and library of Year group appropriate books. Key Stage 2 students also have their own playground and access to the playing field as well as sharing in the resources of the wider school.
