Wellington College firmly believes that every talented child should be able to receive a College education and all the many benefits and opportunities that come with it. To ensure that the most talented children come to the College and that tuition fees are no obstacle to receiving such an education, we have introduced the Wellington Scholarship and Bursary Programme.
Scholarships
Wellington offers a very wide range of scholarships, which are awarded on merit, at all age groups from Year 7 to Year 12. Candidates for the various scholarships are assessed in examinations, both written and practical, and an interview. The object is to measure ability, as well as to determine who we feel would fulfill their potential at the College. Fully committed to excellence in all areas of learning, based on our unique Eight Aptitudes model of education, the College offers scholarships in the following disciplines:
- Academic
- Sport
- Music
- Drama
- Art
The Scholarships awarded will last for the duration of the student’s time at Wellington and will represent a tuition fee reduction, in addition to providing numerous opportunities both for personal development and representing the College in the particular field of excellence.
Bursaries
A series of bursaries are available for applicants to the College, including those who also apply for the various scholarships. Bursaries are awarded where there is an obvious need to supplement the tuition fees for the particular year group. All applications are means-tested. Applying for a Bursary can be, but need not be, a daunting process, so we have set out for you answers to our most frequently asked questions, by clicking on the link below.
